MFD is not reachable error in ConnectKey log

Issue

MFD is not reachable. Check whether EIP is enabled

The following message will be displayed in the Connectkey.log:

Error: MFD is not reachable. Check whether EIP is enabled

Error: The program will now exit.

Solution

Note: In this case, the customer had all EIP Settings and SNMP properly configured.

On the multifunction printer (MFP) verify the following settings:

1.     Verify that the DNS server address is set to a local address.

2.     Disable the proxy server if it is not being used or required.
