Why is the max age password policy not being honored in Flex?

Note: This applies to DocuShare Flex.

Issue

A DocuShare Flex user account has a password that is older than 90 days, why is this happening when the password policy is set to 90 days.

Note: Default Password Policy on a Flex site is set to a max age of 90 days and when this age is reached, the password will be invalidated.

Reason /Possible Cause

The policy only applies to new accounts created after the policy was created. The policy will not be enforced until you change the password for the first time.

Solution

Have the user change their password, once this is done the password policy will be enforced.
