Features Disabled on a New Install or Upgrade of DocuShare 6.5.x or 6.6.1

Note:  This solution applies to DocuShare 6.5.x and 6.6.x.

The Program team made a conscious decision to Disable the following features for new installs and upgrades for performance reasons.

1.     Content map

2.     Show all button (on change location and User chooser pages)

3.     Personal Trashcan

4.     Enable thumbnails (View as Image)

5.     Security Icons feature

The following message is displayed on the top of the AdminHome|Site Management|Site Configuration page.

Site Configuration

• Use this page to make minor changes to the appearance and functionality of this site.
• Important: For performance optimization on sites with numerous collections and users, it is recommended to not enable the use of the thumbnail view, Show All button, Content Map, and personal trashcan.

Note:  If any or all of the options are enabled and performance may suffer, it may be advisable to disable them if additional resources cannot be allocated.
