DocuShare Not Starting
Note: This solution applies all versions of DocuShare.
Unable to start DocuShare through the Services.msc.
If attempting to start via the Command Prompt by running the command start_docushare console, The startup process will get terminated at the Phase 1 and will post and error similar to the following example.

25 Sep 2013 21:53:13 [main] INFO - MonitorServerImpl.prelimPhase: did not find a PID for any IDOL processes
25 Sep 2013 21:53:13 [main] INFO - MonitorServerImpl.main: continue after preliminary phase check
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Xerox\Docushare\tomcat.zip\conf\server.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)
Reason / Possible Cause
This issue can happen if there are multiple folders with the same name.
In the example above the error is pointing to the tomcat.zip folder which should not exist under the DocuShare directory.
Please note this error can happen for any duplicate folder.
1. Open Windows Explore and browse to the <dshome> directory.
Where <dshome> is replaced with the installation directory for DocuShare. The default installation path is C:\Xerox\DocuShare. Depending on your installation environment the path may vary.
2. Search for duplicate folders and move any duplicates folders that should not exist in the <dshome> directory to another location.
Note: If you are unsure of which directories are causing the issue, contact DocuShare Customer Support at 1-800-835-9013..
Warning: Do not delete any files from the DocuShare home directory.
3. Try starting DocuShare again.
