A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly Error Is Displayed

Note: This applies Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10.

Issue

The following error is displayed in Internet Explorer.

"A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly"

Solution

1.     Try refreshing the page.

2.     Try adding the site to the Compatibility View Add the site to the Compatibility View list of sites.

Note: This does NOT apply to DocuShare 7. DocuShare 7 does not support the use of compatibility mode.

a.       Open Internet Explorer.

b.      Select Tools | Compatibility View Settings. The Compatibility View Settings window displays.

c.       Enter the URL for the DocuShare site in the Add this website: field and then the click Add button.

d.      Click the Close button.

3.     Try changing the Internet Options.

a.       Open Internet Explorer.

b.      Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options. The Internet Options window will display.

c.       Click the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Browsing section.

d.      Place a checkmark in the Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) check boxes.

e.       Remove the checkmark from the Display a notification about every script error check box, and then click OK.
