Why Are Computer Objects Displaying When Trying to Add a User or Group in DocuShare LDAP?
When trying to add a User or Group via Admin Home | Account Management | LDAP Accounts | Add, Computer objects are displayed.
Reason /Possible Cause
This may be perceived as a bug or limitation on DocuShare, but this is by design, to have LDAP module be as generic as possible.
If you would like to filter out the computer objects Enable Access Control.
To enable access control:
1. Log into DocuShare as admin.
2. Click Admin Home | Account Management | LDAP Accounts | Configuration. The LDAP Configuration page displays.
3. Place a check mark in the checkbox labelled Enable User Access Control.
4. In the field next to Filter type the following (objectCategory=person)).
Note: If you already have another filter configured in the Filter field for example: (filterA=yyy), they can change filter to the following:
5. Click the Apply button.
