LDAP Does Not Work After Upgrading and Moving DocuShare From One Server To Another
LDAP fails to work after upgrading and moving DocuShare from one server to another.
Warning: The DocuShare Server must have the same version and updates applied as the server that you are restoring from to perform this solution. You cannot restore files from a different version and/or patch level.
1. Enable the LDAP Services on the new server by doing the following:
a. Login to the DocuShare as an Admin.
b. Go to Admin Home | Account Management | Providers | Security Services. The Security Services page displays.
c. Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled LDAP to enable the service and click the Apply button.
d. Select the Directory Services link from the admin menu. The Directory Services link displays.
e. Place a checkmark in the checkbox labeled LDAP to enabled the service and then click the Apply button.
2. Restore the DirectoryConfigLDAP.xml and the DirectoryConfigCommon.xml from the old server to the new server by doing the following:
a. From the old DocuShare Server, open Windows Explorer and browse to the <dshome>\config directory.
Where <dshome> is replaced with the installation directory for DocuShare. The default installation path is C:\Xerox\Docushare. Depending on your installation environment the path may vary.
a. Get a copy the<dshome>\config\DirectoryConfigLDAP.xml and a copy of the <dshome>\config\DirectoryConfigCommon.xml files.
b. On the new DocuShare Server, stop DocuShare.
c. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the <dshome>\config directory.
d. Rename the DirectoryConfigLDAP.xml file to DirectoryConfigLDAP.xml.orig.
e. Rename the DirectoryConfigCommon.xml to DirectoryConfigCommon.xml.orig.
f. Paste the copies of the DirectoryConfigLDAP.xml and the DirectoryConfigCommon.xml from the old server into the <dshome>\config directory on the new server.
