Email Notifications Are Not Being Sent

Note:  This applies to DocuShare 6.5.3.

Issue

Notification not triggering / Failing to send.

The following error is displayed in the logs:

Error: MailSendService: Send failure: because of this exception: javax.mail.internet.AddressException with this message: Illegal whitespace in address

Reason/Possible Cause

A member of the notification recipients has an illegal white space (space) in their email address.  The error will list all the emails associated with the notification, this causes the notification to fail in sending an email.

Solution

Correct the email address to resolve.
