How to setup user landing page or Homepage to a specific Collection
Note: This applies to DocuShare 6.6.1 only. DocuShare
6.5.3 has a different setup already documented in another KB.
Setup
a specific URL for Users to be directed to when they login. This can also be
called their Homepage
In
DocuShare 6.6.1, there is a specific setup for this since “Quick Search” was
implemented with this version. You must have the following setup in order for
it to work properly for each individual User:
- Set
Home Page must be set to My DocuShare or Classic DocuShare.
- Log into DocuShare as admin.
- Click Admin Home| Site Management |
Site Configuration. The Site
Configuration page displays.
- Next to Set Home Page select My DocuShare
or Classic DocuShare from the drop down menu.
- Click the Apply button.
- The Personal Collection must also be enabled
- Log
into DocuShare as admin.
- Click
Admin Home |Site Management | Site
Configuration. The Site
Configuration page displays.
- Next
to Enable Personal Collection
select Yes.
- Configure the Home Page option
for the User.
- Log
into DocuShare as admin.
- Click
Admin Home | Account Management |
Users | Go to List / Find / Add User.

Find a User that you would like to
configure the Home Page setting for.

Select Edit. The Edit Properties
page displays.
e.
In the Home Page field type the URL of the DocuShare Collection.
Note: The URL that is
configured in the Home Page field must match the one being used in the DocuShare
configuration. Typically it is the URL
that is being used to access the collection in the browser. However, you can verify the information using
dssetup.
