Xerox DocuShare Drive provides seamless access to DocuShare directly from the Microsoft Windows desktop, Microsoft Office, or any application installed on your PC. Once installed, DocuShare Drive appears on your desktop like any networked drive, allowing you to perform essential document management functions, without changing the way you routinely work.

·         Drag and drop files and folders between your PC and DocuShare as part of routine activities. DocuShare Drive supports “deep” copy, so entire sets of nested folders can be copied at once.

·         Use the Open, Save, and Save As menu from within any installed Windows application to access and manage content in DocuShare.

·         Use the Windows Search interface to find content stored in DocuShare.

·         Store Microsoft Outlook and other mail client email messages plus attachments to DocuShare.*

·         Upload new versions of documents to DocuShare.

·         Supports common DocuShare document capabilities such as setting property values and document check out / check in.

* DocuShare can generate HTML renditions of Microsoft Outlook MSG files for viewing in a web browser. Mail messages from any other mail system will be stored in their native mail message format only.

System Requirements

·         Microsoft Windows 7 with SP1 (32- and 64-bit) or Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit).

·         Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 C++ Redistributable SP1.

·         Microsoft Internet Explorer version 10 or 11.

·         1 GB RAM on 32-bit systems; 2 GB RAM on 64-bit systems.

·         20 MB free disk space for program files on 32-bit systems; 40 MB on 64-bit systems.

·         100 MB free disk space for work and temporary data.

·         TCP/IP network connection to a DocuShare server running version 6.6.1 Update 3 Patch 1 Hotfix 11 or higher.

Note: DocuShare Drive should not be installed on a system that already has the Xerox DocuShare Client installed. Please uninstall the DocuShare Client before using DocuShare Drive. Check with your DocuShare Admin if you are using advanced features of the DocuShare Client or custom applications built with the Xerox DocuShare Client SDK.

DocuShare Drive 1.5 Requires DocuShare 661 Update 3 Patch 1 Hotfix 11 or higher.
