How can I tell how many files are in a collection and its sub collections?
If you
want to know the total number of objects contained inside of a collection then
perform the following steps.
1.
In
the Web-UI, go to the collection you wish perform this query on.
2.
At
the top right of the page there is a search box. Make sure “This Collection” is
selected.
3.
Put
an Asterisks * in the search box and hit enter or select the search icon to the
right of the box.
4.
On
the page that gets returned you should see something similar to (DocuShare
found 19032 matches but displayed 100) or (There were 4 matches found)
depending on how many files are contained within the collection.
If you
want to know how many of a specific object. For example:. Documents,
Collections, or Email then perform the following steps.
1.
In
the Web-UI, go to the collection you wish perform this query on.
2.
At
the top right of the page to the right it says “Advanced” Click on that. This
will bring you to the advanced search page.
3.
Place
and asterisks * in the primary search box.
4.
Scroll
down to the Object types. Select the objects that you would like to search for.
5.
Go
to the bottom of the page and hit apply.
6.
On
the page that gets returned you should see something similar to (DocuShare
found 19032 matches but displayed 100) or (There were 4 matches found) depending
on how many files are contained within the collection.
