How To Change the Alternating Images Displayed on the Homepage

Note:  To remove the alternate images from the homepage click the How To Remove the Alternating Images on the Homepage link listed at the bottom of this solution.

Note:  You must be an Administrator to perform this solution.

1.       Make a copy of the following files for backup purposes.

<dshome>\tomcat\webapps\docushare\en\images\ui_homepage_banners_ds_1.jpg

<dshome>\tomcat\webapps\docushare\en\images\ui_homepage_banners_ds_2.jpg

<dshome>\tomcat\webapps\docushare\en\images\ui_homepage_banners_ds_3.jpg

<dshome>\tomcat\webapps\docushare\en\images\ui_homepage_banners_ds_4.jpg

Note:  Where <dshome> is the installation directory for DocuShare.  Depending on your installation environment this may vary.  The default installation path is Xerox\Docushare.

2.       Resize your image files to a minimum of 820 x 346 pixels or 1256 x 500 pixels if you are using hi-resolution displays.  They can be JPG/PNG/GIF image formats.

3.       Rename your 4 image files

·         ui_homepage_banners_ds_1.jpg

·         ui_homepage_banners_ds_2.jpg

·         ui_homepage_banners_ds_3.jpg

·         ui_homepage_banners_ds_4.jpg

4.       Paste the your 4 renamed image files into the <dshome>\tomcat\webapps\docushare\en\images directory (overwriting the default ones that were backed up in step 1)

5.       Restart DocuShare
